Workshop Overview

Learn techniques passed down from ancient perfumers, such as fatty unguents prepared by the First People and ancient Egyptian oil infusion recipes.

Cost

R4220 for 6 hours of training of all the sessions listed below. Includes all materials and a perfume preparation for all the below classes. Light meal and beverage included.

  • Please note you need to complete Level 1 and 2 as they will give you a strong foundation of the basics of natural perfume making before joining the following sessions.

Aromatic Oil Infusions

Duration: 1 hour

Infusions are versatile. You can extract larger molecules with therapeutic value, safer than essential oils, and use them undiluted in perfumes and skincare.

Alcohol-Based Perfumes

Duration: 1 hour

99% of perfumes worldwide are diluted in alcohol. Ethanol is a great solvent, preservative, and dispersant, giving perfumes a diffusive experience.

Tincturing Techniques

Duration: 2 hours

Tincturing expands your perfumer’s palette with unusual materials like seaweed. Tinctures add originality and improve fixative qualities in perfumes.

Oil-Based Perfume Blending

Duration: 1 hour

Oil perfumes are easy to blend, give instant gratification, and form the basis for body and hair products.

Solid Perfume Creation

Duration: 1 hour

Perfume ointments and salves capture scent consistently. Learn to make balms, salves, and lip products with these techniques.

Intuitive Perfumery

Duration: 1 hour 30 mins

Perfume is medicine for the soul. Practice creativity, deepen your relationship with aromatic plants, and create transcendent perfume art.

Online Sessions

Free pre-workshop consultation. Guided by your preferences, I provide materials lists and online training via WhatsApp or Skype.
