In mythology Helios is the young Greek god of the sun. He is the son of Hyperion and Theia. Each morning at dawn he rises from the ocean in the east and rides in his chariot, pulled through the sky by four horses, to descend at night in the west. It is the object of fire that dominates every day of our human existence.

No life on Earth is possible without its warming light and photosynthesis that create the energy and air we need to live.

Earth is grounded, nurturing, sensual. It is sensory, solid, unmoving, fecund; a paradisial ship of life entwined with the Sun, in orbit around it and constantly relating to it.
